One thing in science that has always interested me is the weather. What interests me about the weather is that it affects all over the country. The weather causes everyday people to buy certain clothes, houses, cars, and or animals. What i mean by this is for example in Florida, people wear summer clothing and live in condos or by the water because the weather never gets cold. The climate stays particularly warm allowing people to swim all year round. In Alaska, some people rely on dogs to pull sleds for their transportation, and have to wear heavy layers due to the severe cold weather. I want t know when weather was first recorded, and what "makes" it. Climate also interests me too.

In this world we live in today, weather affects us so much. It can determine where we live, what we wear, and what seasons we have. It is important to understand whether to know if dangerous storms are forming or if there is going to be an emergency. Solar energy , Climate, and Forecasting are some things I will tell you about weather.
Solar energy and Earths atmosphere play an important part in our life. It is the force behind all meteorological changes on earth. This means that Only about 25 percent of the solar energy that reaches Earth's atmosphere penetrates to surface directly. Another 25 percent reaches the surface only after being scattered by gases in the atmosphere. The remaining solar energy is either absorbed or reflected back into space by atmospheric gases and clouds.(Gale Science in Context) Following this, we have Climate.
Climate are things that affect what clothes we buy, where we choose to live, and how we live. If you live in a place that snows a lot, it would be smart to not depend of farming, because you can't farm with snow. Climate is a measure of the average pattern of variation in temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precipitation, atmospheric particle count and other meteorological variables in a given region over long periods of time. Climate is different from weather, in that weather only describes the short-term conditions of these variables in a given region.(Wikipedia) Another category of weather is forecasting.
Forecasting is how people predict the weather patterns throughout the week. This helps us to learn about violent or potentially harmful storms, before they come our way. Weather forecasts are made by collecting quantitative data about the current state of the atmosphere and using scientific understanding of atmospheric processes to project how the atmosphere will evolve.(Wikipedia) Humans have been trying to predict the weather patterns since the nineteenth century, but today we luckily have figured it out.
In conclusion, all these aspects of weather help to make our lives safer, and more enjoyable. Our technology has improved, and we are much more aware of how to react to weather. Without weather, the earth would not survive.
